According to Cars UK, the next-generation Infiniti G37 sedan will likely debut at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show next January. We recently spied working prototypes of the new Infiniti out testing, and despite being slathered in camouflage, we have a good idea of how the company's new BMW 3 Series rival will look. Sort of.
The new G will indeed have a more rakish, curvy body, taking many of its cues from the stunning Emerg-E concept that first debuted at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. We can clearly see LED lighting up front, as well as some new lighting elements adhered to the car's rump, as well.
Currently, the only engine offered in the G range is the 3.7-liter naturally aspirated V6, but that's expected to change. Earlier reports have suggested that a wide range of new engines could be fitted under the G's hood, including a diesel powerplant that comes as part of Renault-Nissan's partnership with Daimler. A turbocharged engine and hybrid model could be in the works, as well.
We'll likely have more details after the turn of the year, if not sooner. Stay tuned.
