And the winner of the McCartney tickets is ?

Paul McCartney received an Academy Award nomination for his theme song to "Live and Let Die" (1973). Pagano wins two tickets to the McCartney concert, Nov. 14 at Minute Maid Park, plus a limited-edition poster from the show and two collectible tickets suitable for framing ? or sticking on his refrigerator door. Whether it was road trips as a kid, doing chores or just sitting around the house, there was always music in the background. Having listened to them now for approximately 40 years, the reason I like them as artists is because their music progressed over their careers. Pagano has been to many concerts, and he's seen the Cirque du Soleil Beatles show in Las Vegas five times, but this will be his first time to see McCartney. All roads lead to the 2012 Nutcracker Market this week at Reliant Center. [...] once you're inside Reliant Center, just one path leads to the Donne di Domani spaghetti sauce booth. The Donne di Domani sorority of Italian ladies (and ladies smart enough to marry Italian men) sell quart bottles of their homemade, secret-recipe marinara sauce. Every penny of profit goes to college scholarships and charities. At the end of the week, the Riba Foods warehouse off Westpark is lined with thousands of cases of Original, Spicy and Mild Donne di Domani sauce, ready for the Nutcracker Market. Not the women, not Riba Foods, not even the warehouse workers who do the heavy lifting. More than anything, they love meeting a few months later to divvy up their profits between scholarships at Rice, the University of Houston and University of St. Thomas, and charities like the Blinded Veterans Project, Sunshine Kids, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center for Breast Cancer Research, Child Advocates and the Carmelite Cloistered Nuns of New Caney. The best parts of the project are being able to catch up with everybody after the summer and seeing how excited everyone at the Nutcracker Market is when they get to the front of the line. The rest of the year, we spend cooking for our families and friends - usually with our own sauce. There are no artificial ingredients or preservatives. [...] we add our secret spices to the finished product that makes our sauce unique.
