Texas Rep. Kay Granger blocks $450,000 in U.S. aid to Egyptian government
Amid skepticism of Egypt's new government under the Muslim Brotherhood, Rep. Kay Granger put a hold on $450,000 in funding the administration planned to send to the country. The money was intended to help rebuild the country's economy after overthrowing the former autocratic president Hosni Mubarak.
